VOICE YOUR OPINIONWe hope you will join ATMequipment.com, ATMIA, NAAIO and thousands of other industry professionals in opposing Senate Amendment (SA-3812) introduced by Sen. Harkin (D - Iowa) and Sen. Schumer (D - NY), which would require ATM operators to limit their surcharge fees to no more than $0.50. Click here to join the online petition.
Along with the petition, ATMIA and EFTA have written a letter opposing the amendment that will be sent to the Senate. You can view the letter here or visit ATMIA.com or EFTA.org for useful links that will assist you in writing your own letters to your State Senator and the Senate Banking Committee.
You may also want to read the opposition voiced by the American Bankers Association, along with some valuable talking points.
Senate Amendment 3812 is now being debated and considered in the Senate as a small part of the larger Senate Bill 3217,
Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2010. The Senate will vote this month whether to reject the amendment or include it in the final bill. Immediate action is needed to make our lawmakers understand the devastating effects such an amendment will have on the ATM industry, and business and citizens across the nation.
Please join with us in strong opposition of SA-3812!
